'European Innovation Academy 2014 - last call for participants'

Estonian initiative called the IT Academy is supporting the participation of group of Estonian IT students (both local and international) in the 2014 European Innovation Academy (EIA) technology entrepreneurship program. The programme is taking place on 7-25th July in Sophia-Antipolis, France.

The lucky 40 scholarships applicants have now been chosen and are preparing for their awesome summer training in Nice! Soon we will share more information about the applicants who were granted the IT Academy scholarships of €1290 (per person) to take part of the EIA.


However, if you did not manage to apply for scholarship or did not met the requirements, then no worries. It is still possible to take part of the event if you are willing to finance it yourself. European Innovation Academy, which originates from Estonia, has now launched a final call for all participants. All students can apply for the programme independently as well and this applies for students with all different types of background. European Innovation Academy (EIA) is a high-profile extreme start-up accelerator developed in cooperation with professors from top level universities such as UC Berkeley, Stanford University, Denmark Technical University and industrial partners like Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Rovio Angrybirds and Amadeus.

The three-week accelerator for highly motivated students worldwide is held 7-25 July in Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France. In 2014 EIA hosts 400 young entrepreneurs from 40 different countries.

During the program’s 15 intensive innovating days, students will develop the skills needed to turn an innovative idea into a successful start-up. Students are supported by 50 different professors from world renowned universities and 40 international experts from Silicon Valley.

Weekends are spent in innovation hot-spots like Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Corsica.
