The university provides tuition free studies for the next academic year for all Ukrainian students, who start their studies at Tallinn University from September 2022.

Ukrainian students can submit applications to start their studies at Tallinn University until the 1st of May via the DreamApply platform.

Ukrainian students are welcome to apply for Bachelor’s degree studies in programmes such as Liberal Arts in Humanities, Liberal Arts in Social Sciences, Law or Politics and Governance. Among others, the Educational Innovation and Leadership, International Relations and Open Society Technologies programmes are open for Master’s studies. Find more information about the programmes for Ukrainian students from TLU’s webpage (_www.tlu.ee/en/ukraine#admission-for-ukrainian-citizens_).

According to Helen Joost, the Academic Affairs Manager, in addition to students starting their studies, the university also accepts students whose education has been interrupted due to the war. “The university is ready to review students’ previous studies to find the most suitable curriculum for them,” said Joost.

For example, students are welcome to continue their studies in Contemporary European Languages and Cultures or Liberal Arts in Humanities Bachelor’s degree programmes. Among other Master’s programmes, students are welcome to continue their studies in Educational Innovation and Leadership or Slavic Languages and Cultures. For more information, see TLU’s webpage.

For war refugees with Ukrainian citizenship who wish to continue their education at Tallinn University, please write to admissions@tlu.ee and submit an application in the DreamApply platform by the 30th of June.

Students whose documents have not been preserved or are incomplete will be referred to the Estonian ENIC / NARIC Centre for recognition. You can read more about recognition here (_www.harno.ee/en/development-and-qualifications/qualifications/academic-recognition_).

The university recommends that Ukrainians who are going to study at the university also apply for war refugee status, which allows them to apply and receive a subsistence allowance, which helps cover living expenses.

Tallinn University offers accommodation for Ukrainian war refugees at the university’s dormitories, the cost of which can be covered by the subsistence allowance.

The university student body has opened a support fund for charity to support the studies and residence of Tallinn University Ukrainian students in Estonia. To support Ukrainian students, students collect donations to following accounts:

SEB, Tallinna Ülikooli Üliõpilaskond, EE431010011911416225;

Swedbank, Tallinna Ülikooli Üliõpilaskond, EE282200221026097397.
