Overview
Keyboard studies at EAMT provide instruction in piano, organ, harpsichord and accordion performance, grounding our students in the rich European tradition, while fostering creativity and an openness to new ideas. The influences of Eastern European schools are seamlessly integrated with the best attributes of Western European education. All faculty members are active performers with notable international careers.
The keyboard curriculum is comprehensive, providing piano and accordion students training in accompaniment, chamber ensemble, and contemporary improvisation, in addition to solo performance, while harpsichord and organ students are also required to study basso continuo. The curriculum also includes teacher training and other supportive courses.
Master classes of distinguished and internationally renowned artists, performers and pedagogues play a central role in the EAMT’s programme. Studies are further enriched by master classes delivered by distinguished artists and internationally renowned teachers from around the world. These experiences broaden the perspective and worldview of our students and enrich their learning experience.
Students are given ample opportunities to perform on stage in a wide array of concerts and competitions. These prove to be invaluable in the training of up-and-coming musicians, helping them to develop personal styles as interpreters of music and giving them the technical and psychological skills necessary to succeed in the dynamic and ever changing music world.
