COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT - SOLUTIONS FOR MODERN CHALLENGES
Tallinn University Institute of Communication provides an opportunity to get a master’s degree in communication management, bridging between the East and West. The programme is open to applicants who have a BA degree or a similar qualification in social sciences.
Communication management is a programme where theory is combined with practice. Students will work with real communication cases as part of their studies and are offered possibilities to apply knowledge gained in classrooms when working with problems in practice.
The Institute of Communication is a meeting point not only for students from different countries and backgrounds. There are classroom presentations from different nationalities as well. Among others there are teaching lecturers from Russia, Finland, Spain and the United States. Every year there are visiting professors as well to share their knowledge.
“The programme will prepare students for leading positions in communication for public sector organizations like ministries, municipalities and for private companies. Graduates will be competent not only for operational tasks but especially for strategic communication management,” commented miss Annela Laaneots, the manager of marketing and public relations in Tallinn University Institute of Communication.
The communication Management Master’s Programme is designed for people who are interested in learning how communication can contribute to an organization’s strategy and success as well as in society at large.
Besides, the Institute of Communication has a versatile curriculum containing both compulsory and optional modules, and courses covering a wide variety of subject matter. It includes communication theory, strategic management, theory of science, research methodology, ethics, marketing communication, risk, crisis and political communication, and media relations. It is also possible to study intercultural communication and interaction, advertising, advertising psychology, propaganda, and image symbolism.
Application deadlines:
Admission exams take place several times a year. Applications are accepted from 7 January, 2013 until the following deadlines:
• Non-EU/EEA (applicants who need a visa for coming to Estonia, except applicants from Turkey) – 1 April , 2013
• EU/EEA citizens/applicants who do not need visa for coming to Estonia/applicants from Turkey – 1 July, 2013 and additional admission in August (programmes where the additional admission will take place, will be confirmed in the beginning of August).
